Volunteers

The tasks of the volunteers are varied. However, their main mission is to assist and support all the runners, from the leader to the large group of followers and up to the very last one.

Volunteers are appointed for the following jobs:

  • The week before the race, to prepare the aid stations or mark the trail.
  • Handing out and checking the race numbers. As an English speaker you would be very helpful at this task.
  • Reporting the passage time of each runner at the control posts (this fulfills a double purpose which, of course, makes the time check compulsory: tracing the runners and allow the back-up team to follow them, but also ensuring that runners follow the correct route)
  • Supplying the runners with refreshments at the provisioning posts. At each control / provisioning post, the Head of Post will respond to the individual needs and problems (within reason).

If one of these tasks interests you, fill in this form and we will contact you as soon as possible.
